Sommario/riassunto: This edited book focuses on the certifiers of scientific knowledge, bringing together experts in a variety of areas in Applied Linguistics to address the complex topic of editing and reviewing in writing for scholarly publication. Drawing on insider perspectives, the authors bring to the fore personal histories, narratives and first-hand accounts of editors and reviewers and help paint a richer and more nuanced picture of the discourses, practices, experiences, success stories, failures, and challenges that frame and shape trajectories of both Anglophone and English as an additional language (EAL) scholars in adjudicating and accrediting academic output. This book will be of interest to researchers, practitioners, supervisors, writing mentors, early-career scholars and graduate students in a variety of fields. Pejman Habibie is an Assistant Professor of TESOL and Applied Linguistics at Western University, Canada. He is a founding co-editor of the Journal of English for Research Publication Purposes and a founding co-editor of book series Routledge Studies in English for Research Publication Purposes. Anna Kristina Hultgren is Professor of Sociolinguistics and Applied Linguistics and UKRI Future Leaders Fellow at The Open University, UK. Her research focuses on the interconnectedness of language and ongoing societal, political and economic restructuring.
