Sommario/riassunto: Only in the 1960s did the Soviet government begin to praise Sytin as an important figure in the publishing industry. He is still virtually unknown in the West. Ruud brings Sytin to the forefront of the enterprising capitalists of his time, a group that significantly influenced the degree to which the modernization of methods and technology transformed Russia before the Revolution.
