The author of the monograph focuses on the topic of creating customer value in e-⁠commerce. Her deliberations are centered around the premise that logistic aspects of electronic business transactions create customer values that affect regular purchasing decisions.The purpose of the book is to identify logistical factors that create value for the retail customer in e-commerce. Diagnosing the current state of the e-commerce market required the author to conduct research covering both the demand and supply side of the market, which made it possible to determine the value gap between the expected and delivered service levels.
