Two ordinances of the Lords and Commons assembled in Parliament [[electronic resource] ] : One for the Lord Major of the city of London, and the Justices of the Peace for the city, and parts adjacent, to suppresse stage-playes, interludes, and common playes, and commit the actors to the gaole, to be tryed at the next sessions, to be punished as rogues.
