• Sommario/riassunto: The book deals with various issues relating to the morphodynamics of tidal environments and river watercourses. In the first part dedicated to lagoon morphodynamics, some characteristics of lagoon channels are illustrated and in particular there is a study of meandering channels and their formation process and an analysis on the modeling of tidal channels with an experimental investigation on the propagation of a tidal wave in a straight channel. In the second part there is an investigation on the solid transport in a river watercourse in the case in which the bottom is arbitrarily inclined, with the proposition of a new model to evaluate the solid transport.
