• Note generali: The everyday practice of street traders in the historic Mitte district of Berlin is determined by their ability to both conform to and challenge the commonplace, structural and institutional barriers that exist. Noa K. Ha provides perspectives on this daily use of public space that also make apparent the globalization of major Western cities. • Sommario/riassunto: Die Alltagspraxis von Straßenhändler_innen in der historischen Mitte von Berlin ist davon bestimmt, sich sowohl an die alltäglichen, strukturellen und institutionellen Begrenzungen anzupassen als auch diese herauszufordern. Noa K. Ha liefert Einblicke in diese alltägliche Nutzung des öffentlichen Raums, die zugleich die Globalisierung westlicher Metropolen augenfällig macht. Ihre Studie verweist auf das problematische Verhältnis zwischen urbaner Raumnutzung, informalisierter Arbeit und rassifizierter Migration und fragt angesichts wachsender Diskriminierungen nach der Inklusionsfähigkeit öffentlicher Räume in einer europäischen Stadt wie Berlin.
