De bedoeling is de betekenis aan te geven van de verschillen in politieke opstelling voor de toekomst en de medewerking te krijgen van maatschappelijke groeperingen bij het uitwerken van alternatieve toekomstbeelden. Aan de hand van de politieke stromingen liberaal, socialistisch en confessioneel, en van het onderscheid tussen technocratische dan wel sociocratische houdingen, worden zes visies omschreven als basis voor de toekomstbeelden.; In this study, the council focuses primarily on the role of politics and governance in shaping the future. The intention is to indicate the differences in the political set-up for the future and to get the participation of social groups in the development of alternative visions of the future. On the basis of the political movements liberal, socialist and confessional, and the distinction between technocratic or sociocratic attitudes, six visions are described as the basis for the future images.
