The Committee on Naval Affairs, to whom was referred the petition of Lieutenant Wm. F. Lovell, United States Navy, praying that the same additional compensation may be paid to the officers and seamen who accompanied the expedition in search of Dr. Kane as was allowed to those who accompanied the expedition under Lieutenant De Haven, have had the same under consideration, and report.
