The admonisher admonished [[electronic resource] ] : in, a modest and impartial narrative of the proceedings of the ecclesiastical court, against James Jones citizen of London, of the parish of St. Bartholomew Exchange. Being a true account of matter of fact, from his citation to Doctors Commons, to their taking out the writ of excommunicato capiendo against him. And also an account of the several ways made use of for the taking off the said writ. With useful observations upon several particular passages and statutes. A true translated copy of a writ of prohibition, granted by the Lord Chief Justice, and other the judges of the Court of Common Pleas in Easter term 1676. against the bishop of Chichester [[electronic resource] ] : who had proceeded against, excommunicated, and thereupon imprisioned one Thomas Watersfield a church-warden, for refusing to take the oath usually tendred to persons in such office, by which writ the illegality of all such oaths is declared, and the said bishop commanded to release and take off his said excommunication &c
