Sommario/riassunto: The National Cohesive Wildland Fire Management Strategy (Cohesive Strategy) is a collaborative effort to identify, define, and address wildland fire management problems and opportunities for successful wildland fire management in the three regions of the United States: the Northeast, the Southeast, and the West. In Phase II, Regional Strategy Committees (RSCs) were brought together using a holistic approach to create a unified regional strategy, not just for wildland fire suppression, but to explore issues of natural resource management and the social and economic implications of landscape and wildland fire management. It is a goal of this effort to develop the national strategy with regional alternatives. Therefore, RSCs were formed to identify regional challenges, improve communication among partners, and identify proposed strategies and opportunities for improvement.
