The description and use of a portable instrument, vlugarly [sic] known by the name of Gunters quadrant [[electronic resource] ] : by which is perform'd most propositions in astronomy, as the altitude, azimuth, right ascention, and declination of the sun, &c. : also his rising, and setting and amplitude, together with the hour of the day or night, and other condusions exemplified at large : to which is added the use of Nepiars bones in multiplication, division, and extraction of roots, also the the nocturnal, the ring dial, and Gunters-line, in many necessary and delightful conclusions, fitted to the understanding of the meanest capacity : collected and digested into this portable volumn, for the use of young practitioners / / by a true lover of the mathematicks
