And a committee appointed to be assisting unto him for the better governing, strengthning, and preservation of the said plantations; but chiefly for the advancement of the true Protastant [sic] religion, and farther spreading of the gospell of Christ among those that yet remaine there in great and miserable blindnesse and ignorance. Die Iovis 2. Novemb. 1643. Ordered this day by the Lords and Commons assembled in Parliament that this ordinance shall be forthwith printed and published. J. Brown Cler. Parliamentorum
