| Sommario/riassunto: | This book is made up of six chapters, each of which deals with a particular period of Argentine political history. They have the common denominator of dealing with the commemoration of the May Revolution of 1810, seen through printed newspapers. Thus, the reader will find the authors working both with La Gaceta Mercantil , a characteristic newspaper of the 19th century, and with the newspapers El Día or La Nación, currently in full force. Is there a need to commemorate the national dates? Why and why is an event like the one cited over and over again, year after year? These are some of the questions that the authors are trying to answer. All of them belong to the interdisciplinary team that develops a Research project within the framework of the Research Incentives Program of the National University of La Plata. |
