By Philip of Mornai, Lord of Plessis-Marli, counsaylor to the King in his counsell of estate, captaine of fiftie men at armes of his ordinances, gouernour for his Maiestie in the citie and iurisdiction of Saumur, and superintendent of his house and crowne of Nauarre. Reuiewed and enlarged by the author, and the authorities of the Fathers quoted in the margent, against the common slaunders of this age. Faithfully translated according to the last French copie
