A solemn league and covenant, for reformation, and defence of religion, the honour and happinesse of the King, and the peace & safety of the three kingdoms of England, Scotland, and Ireland [[electronic resource] ] : Also, two speciall orders: viz. I. Concerning the taking of the Solemn League and Covenant in all churches and chappels in London and Westminster. II. Concerning divers lords, knights, gentlemen, colonells, officers, souldiers, and others, that are desirous to meet upon Friday next in the forenoon, at Margarets-Westminster, and to take the said League and Covenant. A true relation of the great victory, obtained by Gods providence, by the Parliaments forces in Lancashire against the forces raised by the King in the counties of Westmerland and Cumberland; [[electronic resource] ] : where they took Thurland-castle, and in the fight took of the enemy, Col: Huddleston, 2 captains, an ensigne, 400 prisoners, 7 colours, kill'd many, drove many into the sea, took their magazine, divers arms and horses, and totally routed them. Sent in a letter by Colonell Rigby, a Member of the House of Commons, to the Honorable, William Lenthall Esquire, Speaker of the said House.
