DuGard for Frances Eglesfield (see Madan 24:first issue and Wing).; Authorship of the Eikōn basilikē was originally attributed to Charles I, but according to Madan (pp. 125-33) it was written by John Gauden, who probably included some authentic writings of the king.; The contents of the pages following the "Eikon" are: 1-6 Prayers; 7 Letter, [8-9], Relations; 10 Epitaph, with Greek couplet below. According to Madan 24:first issue, these are followed by 5-8 or 7-10 Reasons (not included in Almack 22). The pourtraicture of His Sacred Majestie in his solitudes and sufferings" has separate title page date 1648; pagination and register are separate.
