Sommario/riassunto: This publication offers policy-makers and administrators a guide for evaluating how labour migration policies work in practice, based on experiences in ASEAN and other parts of the world. It discusses labour market tests, the recruitment process, labour protection for migrant workers, the impacts of migration on destination and origin countries, and difficulties in evaluating labour migration and practical steps national authorities can take. A final section reviews the experience of Malaysia.
