Sommario/riassunto: It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 2019 ACM Workshop on Emerging smart technologies and infrastructures for Smart Mobility and Sustainability - SMAS'19. This is the first edition of this workshop, intended to become a premier forum for presenting research results and experience reports on emerging sensing technologies and interconnected infrastructure that can lead to more efficient transport systems and innovative mobility services, keeping into account the urgent need to foster sustainable development. The goal of the workshop is to gather participants with different background and different perspectives from both Academia and Industry to further the knowledge in the area of emerging smart technologies and infrastructures for Smart Mobility and Sustainability and identify new directions for future research and development. SMAS'19 gives researchers and practitioners a unique opportunity to share their perspectives with others interested in the various aspects of Smart Mobility and Sustainability.
