Sommario/riassunto: IVNC2014 is the 27th of the International Vacuum Nanoelectronics Conference series, devoted to the nano science and technology of vacuum electron sources and their applications Discussions will include sources based on field electron emission, photo and thermal generation, and hot electron generation via internal tunneling The conference aims to promote understanding of physics, chemistry, structures of field emitter arrays and nano emitters, the emission and beam properties, as well as the materials, growth, and fabrication technologies of the cathodes based on field electron emission, secondary emission, photoemission, negative electron affinity The applications include compact X ray sources, lamps and displays, electron guns, microwave amplifiers, plasma devices, analytical instruments, accelerator injectors.
