• Sommario/riassunto: After outlining the radical changes undergone by the Quebecoise (longer life-expectancy, drop in birthrate, growing urbanization, increase in divorces and a greater participation in the work force) the author shows another important change : the medicalization of natural phenomena (v. g. menopause) for the woman. The author also shows that the education of the younger girl has not evolved at the same rate as social evolution and that women are thus in conflict with their environment. The author then discusses the mental health of women, the differential treatments for them, and the possible causes for their mental problem.
