• Sommario/riassunto: This volume contains reports of the 9th Workshop for Family Law held in Göttingen, Dec. 10th, 2010.; The present volume contains the presentations of the 9th Göttingen workshop on family law, which was held on December 10, 2010 and which dealt with the current amendment to guardianship law. The prelude was the presentation of the need for reform in guardianship and guardianship law (Gisela Zenz), followed by the explanation of the federal government's draft law (Thomas Meyer). Subsequently, the question was investigated whether and to what extent the care law can be used as a model for the new guardianship law (Dieter Schwab). The following article, which addressed the selection of the right guardian for the individual ward (Barbara Seidenstücker), called for a change of perspective away from the legislature and towards the ward. Finally, the structural problems on the part of the youth welfare offices were pointed out (Hans-Werner Pütz) and the problem neglected in the legislative process was highlighted, which consequences of the draft law for the supplementary custody (Thomas Meysen). Volume 9 of the series “Göttingen Legal Writings” The series is published by the Law Faculty of the Georg-August University and makes events at the Faculty accessible to an interested public.
