• Sommario/riassunto: Gastroesophageal reflux disease is a common condition in children. In most infants the reflux disappears spontaneously after the first year of life; nevertheless, children may be managed with medical therapy and those with refractory disease should be referred to surgery. Guidelines for clinical practice have not yet been established for children.
