• Sommario/riassunto: This book discusses the conception 'partible paternity' within Amazonian Indian communities. The author argues that fellow anthropologists Beckerman and Valentine are completely wrong in labeling the Amazonian system as one of 'group marriages' in their book Cultures of Multiple Fathers; rather, he states individual marriage and family exist nearly everywhere.
