Sommario/riassunto: To ""look good"" and to ""be good"" have traditionally been held to be two very different things. Philosophers have seen aesthetic and ethical values as fundamentally separate. This work introduces a notion of merit in which ""being good"" and ""looking good"" are integrated into one.
