In Senate of the United States. July 22, 1846. Submitted, and ordered to be printed; and that 4,000 copies in addition to the usual number be printed for the use of the Senate. Mr. Houston made the following report: The Committee on Military Affairs, to whom were referred the resolutions of the Senate directing them to inquire into the necessity and propriety of making early and adequate provision for the survey, improvement, and fortification of the principal harbors on the coast of Texas.
