Here beginneth the Voyage of Master John Eldred to Tripolis2 in Syria by sea, and from thence by land and river to Babylon3 and BalsaraHere is set a Letter of Master John Newbery, written from Aleppo to Master Richard Hakluyt4 of Oxford, the 28th of May, Anno 1583.; And here another Letter of the said Master Newbery; written to Master Leonard Poore of London, from Aleppo, the 29th May, 1583.; Here is continued the Relation of Master John Eldred:; Here is set a Letter of Master John Eldred to G.S.3 Written in Bagdet the 14th day of July, 1583.
And here a Letter of Master John Newbery to Master William Hareborne1, Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Grand Signior2 at Constantinople, communicated to Purchas3 by Master John Sanderson. Bagdet, 15th July, 1583.And here another Letter of Master Newbery, to the aforesaid Master Poore of London; written from Babylon the 20th July, 1583.; And here another of Master Newbery to the foresaid Master William Hareborne; Balsara, the 15th August, 1583.; Here is continued the Relation of Master John Eldred.; Here are set two of those Letters whereof Master Eldred speaketh
