To encourage state reporting, DCRA authorizes the Attorney General to withhold up to 10 percent of Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program funds from states that do not comply with DCRA reporting requirements. The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) conducted this review to evaluate the U.S. Department of Justice's (Department, DOJ), progress in implementing DCRA.
