| Sommario/riassunto: | The evolution of the notions of coalition and network has followed different paths in the last decades. The theory of games was the stalling point of the study of coalitions, while the works on social networks did not have such a theoretical foundation. In order to build a theory of social networks, it is suggested to consider them as systems and to oppose these systems to hierarchies. In this perspective, a coalition can be seen as a network or a quasi-network rather than a hierarchy or a quasihierarchy. This characteristic is an important condition to the formation and maintenance of a coalition. |
