Sommario/riassunto: Miami, called "The Magic City" because of its rapid growth over the last one hundred years, is not only known for its art deco architecture and population of Cuban émigrés, but also as a major international and cultural center. This oral history includes interviews with some of the leading figures of 20th and 21st century Miami. Among them are Clarence Dickson, Miami's first black police chief; Harold Rosen, two-time mayor of Miami Beach; Ferdie Pacheco, cornerman for Muhammad Ali; and Mitch Kaplan, owner of Books & Books and cofounder of the Miami Book Fair.
