The problem of enhancing security without undermining justice managing risk without undermining the rule of law has always confronted society. However, recent developments such as new counter-terrorism measures, the expanding scope of criminal law, harsher migration control and an increasingly pronounced concern with public safety, have posed new challenges. According to the authors of this volume, the key element of these contemporary challenges is that of membership and exclusion: that is, who is to be included within the community of justice, and against whom is the just community aiming to defend itself? This book brings together researchers from various academic disciplines and different countries in order to explore these developments. It attempts to chart the complex landscapes of justice, human rights and the rule of law in an era when such ideals are challenged by increasing demands for efficiency, effectiveness, public safety and security. The book comprises four parts, based on their relation to different aspects of these new landscapes of justice and security: Situating the subjects of security, criminalization, control and security; The new balancing of justice and security; Changing structures and concepts of legitimacy. This book will be of much interest to students of critical legal studies, criminology, critical security studies, human rights, sociology and IR in general"--$cProvided by publisher. 410 0$aRoutledge studies in liberty and security. 606 $aCriminal justice, Administration of$zEurope 606 $aWar and emergency legislation$zEurope 606 $aNational security$xLaw and legislation$zEurope 606 $aTerrorism$xPrevention$xLaw and legislation$zEurope 606 $aCivil rights$zEurope 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aCriminal justice, Administration of 615 0$aWar and emergency legislation 615 0$aNational security$xLaw and legislation 615 0$aTerrorism$xPrevention$xLaw and legislation 615 0$aCivil rights 676 $a323.42 701 $aHudson$b Barbara$f1945-$0948808 701 $aUgelvik$b SynnŲve$f1978-$0948809 801 0$bFlBoTFG 801 1$bFlBoTFG 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910457490603321 996 $aJustice and security in the 21st century$92144814 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04021nam 2200733 450 001 9910791667303321 005 20230618050543.0 010 $a1-4426-6724-9 010 $a1-4593-4171-6 024 7 $a10.3138/9781442667242 035 $a(CKB)2560000000054170 035 $a(EBL)3272809 035 $a(OCoLC)923774261 035 $a(SSID)ssj0001075771 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11631048 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001075771 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)11263480 035 $a(PQKB)10248400 035 $a(CEL)435076 035 $a(CaBNvSL)slc00226327 035 $a(DE-B1597)465444 035 $a(OCoLC)946712855 035 $a(OCoLC)999371693 035 $a(DE-B1597)9781442667242 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL4669615 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr11256140 035 $a(OCoLC)884865667 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC4669615 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC3272809 035 $a(OCoLC)1380845228 035 $a(MdBmJHUP)musev2_106448 035 $a(EXLCZ)992560000000054170 100 $a20160920h20092009 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 04$aThe correspondence of Wolfgang Capito. 2 : 1524-1531$fedited and translated by Erika Rummel with the assistance of Milton Kooistra 210 1$aToronto, [Ontario] ;$aBuffalo, [New York] ;$aLondon, [England] :$cUniversity of Toronto Press,$d2009. 210 4$d©2009 215 $a1 online resource (568 p.) 300 $aIncludes index. 311 $a0-8020-9955-6 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 327 $av. 1. 1507-1523 -- v. 2. 1524-1531. -- v. 3. 1532-1536. 330 $aA fully annotated translation of the correspondence of Protestant leader Wolfgang Capito (1478-1541) for the years 1532-36, this volume provides crucial details on the evolution of Capito's thought and its contribution to the Reformation movement. This title was made Open Access by libraries from around the world through Knowledge Unlatched. Wolfgang Capito (1478-1541), a leading Christian Hebraist and Catholic churchman who converted to Protestantism, was a pivotal figure in the history of the Reformation. After serving as a professor of theology in Basel and adviser to the archbishop of Mainz, he moved to Strasbourg, which became, largely due to his efforts, one of the most important centres of the Reformation movement after Wittenberg. This penultimate volume in the series is a fully annotated translation of Capito's existing correspondence covering the years 1532-36 and culminating in the Wittenberg Concord between the Lutheran and Reformed churches. The correspondence includes Capito's efforts, alongside those of his colleague Martin Bucer, to negotiate that compromise. Other letters deal with local, political, financial, and doctrinal questions, as well as Capito's personal life. The letters demonstrate the importance of Capito and his colleagues in providing advice in matters concerning the churches in southern Germany and Switzerland, but also regarding the evangelicals in neighbouring France. Milton Kooistra's annotation provides historical context by identifying classical, patristic, and biblical quotations as well as persons and places. Continuing in the series' tradition of rigorous scholarship, this volume provides crucial details on the evolution of Capito's thought and its contribution to the Reformation movement. 606 $aTheologians$zEurope$vCorrespondence 607 $aEurope$2fast 608 $aCorrespondance privee. 608 $aPersonal correspondence. 608 $aPersonal correspondence. 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aTheologians 676 $a284.2092 702 $aRummel$b Erika$f1942- 702 $aKooistra$b Milton 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910791667303321 996 $aThe correspondence of Wolfgang Capito. 2 : 1524-1531$93744496 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01481cam0 2200325 450 001 E600200000640 005 20240212144118.0 010 $a8849506406 100 $a20040313d2003 |||||ita|0103 ba 101 $aita 102 $aIT 200 1 $aFra regola e licenza$eChiesa e vita religiosa, feste e beneficenza a Napoli e in Campania (secoli 19.-20.)$fLaura Barletta 210 $aNapoli$cEdizioni scientifiche italiane$d2003 215 $a448 p.$d22 cm 225 2 $aL'identitą di Clio$v24 410 1$1001LAEC00019840$12001 $a*L'identitą di Clio$v24 700 1$aBarletta$b, Laura$3A600200025218$4070$0211397 801 0$aIT$bUNISOB$c20240212$gRICA 850 $aUNISOB 852 $aUNISOB$j900$m120254 852 $aUNISOB$jFondo|Craveri$m146874 852 $aUNISOB$jFondo|Craveri$m146875 912 $aE600200000640 940 $aM 102 Monografia moderna SBN 941 $aM 957 $a900$b004049$gSI$d120254$racquisto$1pomicino$2UNISOB$3UNISOB$420040313103227.0$520200326122716.0$6catenaccif 957 $aFondo|Craveri$b000025$gSi$d146874$hCraveri$rdono$1beth$2UNISOB$3UNISOB$420091012104102.0$520161212114138.0$6catenacci$fModalitą di consultazione vedi home page Biblioteca link Fondi 957 $aFondo|Craveri$b000025$i-b$gSI$d146875$hCraveri$rDono$1Alfano$2UNISOB$3UNISOB$420160718115232.0$520161212114149.0$6catenacci$fModalitą di consultazione vedi home page Biblioteca link Fondi 996 $aFra regola e licenza$91414656 997 $aUNISOB
