Conclusion -- $t Backmatter 330 $aThe book is an invitation to a genealogical understanding of the ideological and discursive processes that have emerged out of the regulation of linguistic minorities issues within an international context and, more precisely, at the United Nations. It highlights the contradictions, limits and possibilities in the elaboration of international measures within the universalist framework of human rights. The book also emphasizes the paradoxes between national interests and the elaboration of an international community - paradoxes in which minority issues fundamentally question the homogeneity of the state. It shows that despite the shift from national spaces to international ones, the fears of nation-states for linguistic minorities remain. Finally, the book reveals the importance of the reproduction of the interests of nation-states within an international organization and the reproduction of power through the legal management and regulation of minority rights in general, and those of linguistic minorities in particular. Through its presentation of the history of the United Nations, its vision of the protection of linguistic minorities, the underlying ideologies that have emerged, as well as the limits and possibilities of action, the book contributes to a better understanding of the complexity of the protection of linguistic minorities and the role of language ideologies within an international context. 410 0$aLanguage, power, and social process ;$v23. 606 $aLinguistic minorities$zNew York (State)$zNew York 610 $aLanguage Planning. 610 $aLanguage Policy. 610 $aSociolinguistics. 610 $aUnited Nations. 615 0$aLinguistic minorities 676 $a341.4/85 700 $aDuche?ne$b Alexandre$0954134 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910782765703321 996 $aIdeologies across nations$93799561 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03415nam 22006975 450 001 9910300541303321 005 20251230055036.0 010 $a3-319-69823-0 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-319-69823-6 035 $a(CKB)4100000001382111 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-319-69823-6 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5275425 035 $a(PPN)222228326 035 $a(EXLCZ)994100000001382111 100 $a20171221d2018 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurnn|008mamaa 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aAcoustics and Vibration of Mechanical Structures?AVMS-2017 $eProceedings of the 14th AVMS Conference, Timisoara, Romania, May 25?26, 2017 /$fedited by Nicolae Herisanu, Vasile Marinca 205 $a1st ed. 2018. 210 1$aCham :$cSpringer International Publishing :$cImprint: Springer,$d2018. 215 $a1 online resource (XIII, 420 p. 235 illus., 181 illus. in color.) 225 1 $aSpringer Proceedings in Physics,$x1867-4941 ;$v198 311 08$a3-319-69822-2 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 330 $aThis book is a collection of papers presented at Acoustics and Vibration of Mechanical Structures 2017 ? AVMS 2017 ? highlighting the current trends and state-of-the-art developments in the field. It covers a broad range of topics, such as noise and vibration control, noise and vibration generation and propagation, the effects of noise and vibration, condition monitoring and vibration testing, modeling, prediction and simulation of noise and vibration, environmental and occupational noise and vibration, noise and vibration attenuators, as well as biomechanics and bioacoustics. The book also presents analytical, numerical and experimental techniques for evaluating linear and non-linear noise and vibration problems (including strong nonlinearity). It is primarily intended for academics, researchers and professionals, as well as PhD students in various fields of the acoustics and vibration of mechanical structures. 410 0$aSpringer Proceedings in Physics,$x1867-4941 ;$v198 606 $aAcoustics 606 $aAcoustical engineering 606 $aMultibody systems 606 $aVibration 606 $aMechanics, Applied 606 $aMathematical physics 606 $aAcoustics 606 $aEngineering Acoustics 606 $aMultibody Systems and Mechanical Vibrations 606 $aTheoretical, Mathematical and Computational Physics 606 $aMathematical Methods in Physics 615 0$aAcoustics. 615 0$aAcoustical engineering. 615 0$aMultibody systems. 615 0$aVibration. 615 0$aMechanics, Applied. 615 0$aMathematical physics. 615 14$aAcoustics. 615 24$aEngineering Acoustics. 615 24$aMultibody Systems and Mechanical Vibrations. 615 24$aTheoretical, Mathematical and Computational Physics. 615 24$aMathematical Methods in Physics. 676 $a620.3 702 $aHerisanu$b Nicolae$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aMarinca$b Vasile$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910300541303321 996 $aAcoustics and Vibration of Mechanical Structures?AVMS-2017$91864293 997 $aUNINA
