Continentalizing Canadian Telecommunications details the complex relationships between the various corporate and government interests, shows how the changes they brought about have locked Canada's telecommunications system into the orbit of the US system, and discusses the implications this has for Canadians. 606 $aTelecommunication policy$zCanada 606 $aTelecommunication$zCanada 615 0$aTelecommunication policy 615 0$aTelecommunication 676 $a384/.0971 700 $aRideout$b Vanda$f1948-$01545797 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910782080203321 996 $aContinentalizing Canadian telecommunications$93800893 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03963nam 22005534a 450 001 9911008464103321 005 20200520144314.0 010 $a1-281-94990-6 010 $a9786611949907 010 $a1-84615-169-4 035 $a(CKB)1000000000452149 035 $a(EBL)218550 035 $a(OCoLC)798534155 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000267940 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)12063582 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000267940 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10214055 035 $a(PQKB)11081190 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC218550 035 $a(UkCbUP)CR9781846151699 035 $a(DE-B1597)674965 035 $a(DE-B1597)9781846151699 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000452149 100 $a20040115d2004 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 14$aThe visionary life of Madre Ana de San Agustin /$fcritical edition and introduction by Elizabeth Teresa Howe 210 $aWoodbridge, Suffolk, UK ;$aRochester, NY $cTamesis$d2004 215 $a1 online resource (xiii, 131 pages) $cdigital, PDF file(s) 225 0 $aColeccion Tamesis. ANA DE SAN AGUSTI?N; WORKS CITED; INDEX 330 $aMadre Ana's account of her life gives insight into the nature of female monasticism at the turn of the seventeenth century. In two relaciones of her life, Madre Ana de San Agust©U?n, a member of the Discalced Carmelite reform under Santa Teresa, reveals a rich interior life of visions, locutions, and visits to heaven and hell. Guiding her at manyjunctures of her spiritual journey is the figure of Santa Teresa, both before and after the saint's death in 1582. Although Madre Ana does not refer to any books save the Divine Office, the details she provides suggest her familiarity with numerous devotional and mystical texts by men and women available at the time. Her accounts share many of the characteristics of these earlier works. Equally interesting are the connections she draws between her visions and the outside world, especially the struggle over the Carmelite reform.
