It finds that the economic costs are generally significant but short-lived, and sometimes do not operate through conventional channels. The political consequences of a debt crisis, by contrast, seem to be particularly dire for incumbent governments and finance ministers, broadly in line with what happens in currency crises. 410 0$aIMF Working Papers 606 $aDebts, External$xEconometric models 606 $aDefault (Finance)$xEconometric models 606 $aDebts, Public 606 $aFinancial crises$xEconometric models 606 $aBank failures$xEconometric models 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aDebts, External$xEconometric models. 615 0$aDefault (Finance)$xEconometric models. 615 0$aDebts, Public. 615 0$aFinancial crises$xEconometric models. 615 0$aBank failures$xEconometric models. 676 $a336.3435 700 $aBorensztein$b Eduardo$0858680 701 $aPanizza$b Ugo$0873343 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910463636103321 996 $aThe costs of sovereign default$91952259 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01317nam a2200289/i 4500 001 991002609959707536 008 141021c2003 be / /10 fre 020 $a2503510124 035 $ab14202906-39ule_inst 040 $aBibl.
