He had served briefly from 1906 to 1908 in the India Office in Whitehall; then as the administrative link between the Government of India and the British parliament. He quickly became involved in the problems of the Indian currency and the then important and fascinating issues concerning the gold-exchange standard. He continued to work on these problems, with the encouragement and help of his former colleagues, after he had returned to Cambridge. The book which resulted, and his known mastery of the problems involved, led to Keynes's first major incursion into public life as a member of the (Austen Chamberlain) Royal Commission on Indian Finance and Currency. The important contributions he made to its work are recorded in detail in Volume 15 of this series, which forms a complement to this volume. 606 $aCurrency question$zIndia 606 $aBanks and banking$zIndia 615 0$aCurrency question 615 0$aBanks and banking 676 $a332.4/954 700 $aKeynes$b John Maynard$f1883-1946,$034099 801 0$bUkCbUP 801 1$bUkCbUP 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910573824303321 996 $aCollected writings of John Maynard Keynes$950327 997 $aUNINA LEADER 00963nam a2200265 i 4500 001 991001615679707536 008 120228s2008 it 000 0 ita d 020 $a9788872855454 :$c18.00 EUR 035 $ab14042435-39ule_inst 040 $aFacoltà SSPT$bita 082 0 $a320.52 100 1 $aCaldiron, Guido$0476618 245 10$aPopulismo globale :$bculture di destra oltre lo Stato-nazione /$cGuido Caldiron 260 $aRoma :$bManifestolibri,$cc2008 300 $a191 p. ;$c21 cm 440 0$aContemporanea 650 4$aPopulismo$ySec. 20.-21 650 4$aPartiti di destra$ySec. 20.-21 650 4$aIdeologie autoritarie$ySec. 20.-21 907 $a.b14042435$b02-04-14$c28-02-12 912 $a991001615679707536 945 $aLE021 320.52 CAL01.01$g1$i2020000038085$lle021$op$pE18.00$q-$rn$s- $t0$u1$v11$w1$x0$y.i15394037$z26-03-12 996 $aPopulismo globale$9244787 997 $aUNISALENTO 998 $ale020$b28-02-12$cm$da $e-$fita$git $h0$i0 LEADER 05744nam 2200493 450 001 9910648493803321 005 20230324115128.0 010 $a1-80327-364-X 035 $a(CKB)5590000000963121 035 $a(NjHacI)995590000000963121 035 $a(ScCtBLL)f2167f1f-d35e-42bb-97b7-d49c105bb706 035 $a(EXLCZ)995590000000963121 100 $a20230324d2022 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 14$aThe Bell Beaker Culture in All its Forms $eProceedings of the 22nd Meeting of 'Arche?ologie et Gobelets' 2021 (Geneva, Switzerland) /$fClaudine Abegg, [and four others] 210 1$aOxford, United Kingdom :$cArchaeopress Publishing,$d2022. 215 $a1 online resource (viii, 309 pages) $cillustrations 311 $a1-80327-363-1 327 $aForeword - Marie Besse ; In Memory of Daniela Kern - Andrew Fitzpatrick ; In Memory of Alain Gallay - Marie Besse ; 1.
