When exposed to an appropriate concentration of VHP vapor in the cabin test section, biological indicators inoculated with 106 colony forming units of Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores demonstrated a total suppression of culture growth. Efficacy was demonstrated with and without seats in the test section of the aircraft. The importance of adequate air mixing was also demonstrated. 517 $aVaporized hydrogen peroxide 606 $aAirplanes$xDisinfection 606 $aBiological decontamination 606 $aAircraft cabins 606 $aHydrogen peroxide 606 $aAir$xPurification 615 0$aAirplanes$xDisinfection. 615 0$aBiological decontamination. 615 0$aAircraft cabins. 615 0$aHydrogen peroxide. 615 0$aAir$xPurification. 700 $aShaffstall$b Robert M$01409865 712 02$aUnited States.$bOffice of Aerospace Medicine. 712 02$aCivil Aerospace Medical Institute. 801 0$bGPO 801 1$bGPO 801 2$bGPO 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910698154303321 996 $aVaporized hydrogen peroxide (VHP®) decontamination of a Boeing 747 cabin$93497383 997 $aUNINA
