In Tang Junyi: Confucian Philosophy and the Challenge of Modernity , Thomas Fröhlich examines Tang Junyi's intellectual reaction to a time of cataclysmic change marked by two Chinese revolutions (1911 and 1949), two world wars, the Cold War period, rapid modernization in East Asia, and the experience of exile. The present study fundamentally questions widespread interpretations that depict modern Confucianism as essentially traditionalist and nationalistic. Thomas Fröhlich shows that Tang Junyi actually challenges such interpretations with an insightful understanding of the modern individual?s vulnerability, as well as a groundbreaking reinterpretation of Confucianism as the civil-theological foundation for liberal democracy in China. 410 0$aModern Chinese Philosophy$v13. 606 $aPhilosophy, Chinese 606 $aPhilosophy, Confucian 606 $aCivilization, Modern 615 0$aPhilosophy, Chinese. 615 0$aPhilosophy, Confucian. 615 0$aCivilization, Modern. 676 $a181/.112 700 $aFro?hlich$b Thomas$f1966-$0183093 801 0$bNL-LeKB 801 1$bNL-LeKB 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910251455003321 996 $aTang Junyi$91898619 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01000nam 2200265 450 001 996682777303316 005 20251024134907.0 100 $a20251024d1997----km y0itay5003 ba 101 0 $aita 102 $aIT 105 $ay 00 y 200 1 $a<> definizione del difficile rapporto intercorrente tra il regime di comunione legale dei beni e il principio dell'accessione$fCristina Dalia 210 $aTorino$cUnione tipografico-editrice torinese$d1997 215 $a9 p.$d23 cm 300 $aEstratto da: Giurisprudenza italiana, dispensa 3, parte 1, sezione 1 (1997) 606 0 $aComunione dei beni$xAccessione$2BNCF 676 $a346.45042 700 1$aDALIA,$bCristina$0286381 801 0$aIT$bcba$gREICAT 912 $a996682777303316 951 $aXVI.7.Misc. 28$b9 FBUO$cXVI.7.Misc. 959 $aBK 969 $aFBUO 996 $aDefinizione del difficile rapporto intercorrente tra il regime di comunione legale dei beni e il principio dell'accessione$94447965 997 $aUNISA
