As crimes become more transnational in scope, the need for systematic communication between national police agencies becomes increasingly apparent. Various methods of collaboration need to address ways to institute global police communication. The chapters of this book focus on the theme of how local and global police practitioners and researchers can better collaborate on the mission of viewing policing with a global focus--Provided by publisher. 606 $aPolice$xInternational cooperation 606 $aLaw enforcement$xInternational cooperation 606 $aCrime prevention$xInternational cooperation 606 $aPolice$vCross-cultural studies 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aPolice$xInternational cooperation. 615 0$aLaw enforcement$xInternational cooperation. 615 0$aCrime prevention$xInternational cooperation. 615 0$aPolice 676 $a363.2/3 701 $aRoberson$b Cliff$f1937-$0901121 701 $aDas$b Dilip K.$f1941-$0124139 701 $aSinger$b Jennie K$0901122 712 12$aInternational Police Executive Symposium$d(15th :$f2008 :$eCincinnati, Ohio) 801 0$bFlBoTFG 801 1$bFlBoTFG 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910458850303321 996 $aPolice without borders$92014123 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03247nam 22005415 450 001 996547972503316 005 20230206223711.0 010 $a3-031-11658-5 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-031-11658-2 035 $a(CKB)5580000000514054 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC7192168 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL7192168 035 $a(OCoLC)1369651261 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-031-11658-2 035 $a(PPN)268206120 035 $a(EXLCZ)995580000000514054 100 $a20230206d2023 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aDeveloping Sustainable and Energy-Efficient Software Systems$b[electronic resource] /$fby Artem Kruglov, Giancarlo Succi 205 $a1st ed. 2023. 210 1$aCham :$cSpringer International Publishing :$cImprint: Springer,$d2023. 215 $a1 online resource (86 pages) 225 1 $aSpringerBriefs in Computer Science,$x2191-5776 311 $a3-031-11657-7 330 $aThis open access book provides information how to choose and collect the appropriate metrics for a software project in an organization. There are several kinds of metrics, based on the analysis of source code and developed for different programming paradigms such as structured programming and object-oriented programming (OOP). This way, the book follows three main objectives: (i) to identify existing and easily-collectible measures, if possible in the early phases of software development, for predicting and modeling both the traditional attributes of software systems and attributes specifically related to their efficient use of resources, and to create new metrics for such purposes; (ii) to describe ways to collect these measures during the entire lifecycle of a system, using minimally-invasive monitoring of design-time processes, and consolidate them into conceptual frameworks able to support model building by using a variety of approaches, including statistics, data mining and computational intelligence; and (iii) to present models and tools to support design time evolution of systems based on design-time measures and to empirically validate them. The book provides researchers and advanced professionals with methods for understanding the full implications of alternative choices and their relative attractiveness in terms of enhancing system resilience. It also explores the simultaneous use of multiple models that reflect different system interpretations or stakeholder perspectives. 410 0$aSpringerBriefs in Computer Science,$x2191-5776 606 $aSoftware engineering 606 $aSoftware engineering?Management 606 $aSoftware Engineering 606 $aSoftware Management 615 0$aSoftware engineering. 615 0$aSoftware engineering?Management. 615 14$aSoftware Engineering. 615 24$aSoftware Management. 676 $a005.1 700 $aKruglov$b Artem$01339187 701 $aSucci$b Giancarlo$0875726 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996547972503316 996 $aDeveloping Sustainable and Energy-Efficient Software Systems$93059805 997 $aUNISA
