Personal manuscripts were not written for a patron, commissioner, or client. They are personal copies, anthologies, florilegia, personal notes, excerpts, drafts and notebooks, as well as family books, accountancy notebooks and many others; these forms often being mixed with one another. This volume introduces a number of such manuscripts in a comparative perspective, from Japan to Europe through the Middle East, with a focus on the Near and Middle East. The main concern is the possibility of identifying typical features of such manuscripts in terms of materials, visual organization and content. In attempting this, both the conditions of production and traces of the manuscripts? use are taken into consideration, with particular attention to their material aspects. 410 0$aStudies in manuscript cultures. 606 $aLITERARY CRITICISM / General$2bisacsh 610 $aManuscript. 610 $aautograph. 610 $acodicology. 610 $adraft. 615 7$aLITERARY CRITICISM / General. 676 $a091 702 $aBauden$b Frédéric, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aDepreux$b Philippe, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aDubois-Morestin$b Mélanie, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aDurand-Guédy$b David, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aDurand-Guédy$b David, $4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aDécultot$b Elisabeth, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aFranssen$b Élise, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aJürgen$b Paul, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aOlszowy-Schlanger$b Judith, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aPaul$b Jürgen, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aPaul$b Jürgen, $4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aSobieroj$b Florian, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aSteimann$b Ilona, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aSänger$b Patrick, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aSövegjártó$b Szilvia, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aVatansever$b Nazl?, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aYasufumi$b Horikawa, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 702 $aZanjani Asl$b Mohammad Karimi, $4ctb$4https://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctb 801 0$bDE-B1597 801 1$bDE-B1597 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996524968503316 996 $aPersonal manuscripts$93421627 997 $aUNISA
