General properties on means of operators such as comparison results, norm estimates and convergence criteria are established. After some general theory, special investigations are focused on three one-parameter families of A-L-G (arithmetic-logarithmic-geometric) interpolation means, Heinz-type means and binomial means. In particular, norm continuity in the parameter is examined for such means. Some necessary technical results are collected as appendices. 410 0$aLecture Notes in Mathematics,$x0075-8434 ;$v1820 606 $aFunctional analysis 606 $aOperator theory 606 $aMatrix theory 606 $aAlgebra 606 $aFunctional Analysis$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M12066 606 $aOperator Theory$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M12139 606 $aLinear and Multilinear Algebras, Matrix Theory$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M11094 615 0$aFunctional analysis. 615 0$aOperator theory. 615 0$aMatrix theory. 615 0$aAlgebra. 615 14$aFunctional Analysis. 615 24$aOperator Theory. 615 24$aLinear and Multilinear Algebras, Matrix Theory. 676 $a515.7246 700 $aHiai$b Fumio$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$062654 702 $aKosaki$b Hideki$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996466662903316 996 $aMeans of Hilbert Space Operators$92512068 997 $aUNISA
