In this monograph we try to present the methods in a consolidated way. We introduce several classes of operators, examine their properties, define iterative methods generated by operators from these classes and present general convergence theorems. On this basis we discuss the conditions under which particular methods converge. A large part of the results presented in this monograph can be found in various forms in the literature (although several results presented here are new). We have tried, however, to show that the convergence of a large class of iteration methods follows from general properties of some classes of operators and from some general convergence theorems. 410 0$aLecture Notes in Mathematics,$x0075-8434 ;$v2057 606 $aMathematical optimization 606 $aFunctional analysis 606 $aCalculus of variations 606 $aNumerical analysis 606 $aOperator theory 606 $aOptimization$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M26008 606 $aFunctional Analysis$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M12066 606 $aCalculus of Variations and Optimal Control; Optimization$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M26016 606 $aNumerical Analysis$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M14050 606 $aOperator Theory$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M12139 615 0$aMathematical optimization. 615 0$aFunctional analysis. 615 0$aCalculus of variations. 615 0$aNumerical analysis. 615 0$aOperator theory. 615 14$aOptimization. 615 24$aFunctional Analysis. 615 24$aCalculus of Variations and Optimal Control; Optimization. 615 24$aNumerical Analysis. 615 24$aOperator Theory. 676 $a519.6 700 $aCegielski$b Andrzej$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0477684 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996466493103316 996 $aIterative methods for fixed point problems in Hilbert spaces$9241162 997 $aUNISA LEADER 01717nam 2200361Ia 450 001 996389176903316 005 20200824131958.0 035 $a(CKB)4940000000096984 035 $a(EEBO)2248499956 035 $a(OCoLC)ocm8959191e 035 $a(OCoLC)8959191 035 $a(EXLCZ)994940000000096984 100 $a19821115d1658 uy | 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurbn||||a|bb| 200 10$aGenethlialogia, or, The doctrine of nativities$b[electronic resource] $econtaining the whole art of directions and annual revolutions : whereby any man (even of an ordinary capacity) may be enabled to discover the most remarkable and occult accidents of his life ... : also tables for calculating the planets places for any time, either past, present or to come : together with the doctrine of horarie questions which (in the absence of a nativity) is sufficient to inform any one of all manner of contengencies neessary to be known /$fby John Gadbury 210 $aLondon $cPrinted by Ja.
