Nearly everyone was comparing lists of the most important accomplishments and people of the last 10, 100, or 1000 years, imagining the radical changes likely over just the next few years, and at least mildly anxious about the potential Y2K apocalypse. The millennial theme for the conference, ?Envisioning MT in the Information Future,? arose from this period. The year 2000 has now come, and nothing terrible has happened (yet) to our electronic infrastructure. Our musings about great people and events probably did not ennoble us much, and whatever sense of jubilee we held has since dissipated. So it may seem a bit obsolete or anachronistic to cast this AMTA conference into visionary themes. 410 0$aLecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence ;$v1934 606 $aArtificial intelligence 606 $aTranslation and interpretation 606 $aInformation storage and retrieval 606 $aMathematical logic 606 $aUser interfaces (Computer systems) 606 $aArtificial Intelligence$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I21000 606 $aTranslation$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/N47000 606 $aInformation Storage and Retrieval$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I18032 606 $aMathematical Logic and Formal Languages$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I16048 606 $aUser Interfaces and Human Computer Interaction$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I18067 615 0$aArtificial intelligence. 615 0$aTranslation and interpretation. 615 0$aInformation storage and retrieval. 615 0$aMathematical logic. 615 0$aUser interfaces (Computer systems). 615 14$aArtificial Intelligence. 615 24$aTranslation. 615 24$aInformation Storage and Retrieval. 615 24$aMathematical Logic and Formal Languages. 615 24$aUser Interfaces and Human Computer Interaction. 676 $a006.3 702 $aWhite$b John S.$f1949-$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996466044503316 996 $aEnvisioning Machine Translation in the Information Future$91945008 997 $aUNISA LEADER 02597nas 2200613- 450 001 996321037703316 005 20230803213019.0 011 $a2182-3030 035 $a(DE-599)ZDB2713102-6 035 $a(OCoLC)962372571 035 $a(CKB)3800000000057435 035 $a(CONSER)--2021224504 035 $a(EXLCZ)993800000000057435 100 $a20161110a20009999 -e- b 101 0 $apor 135 $aurunu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aCidades $ecomunidades e territórios 210 1$a[Lisbon, Portugal] :$cCET, Centro de Estudos Territoriais, ISCTE,$d2000- 215 $a1 online resource 300 $aRefereed/Peer-reviewed 330 $aCIDADES, Comunidades e Territórios is a peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal in Urban Studies established in 2000 and published by DINÂMIA'CET-IUL.
