The topics of the two conferences are in fact widely related to each other and the Joint Conference presented a good occasion for the two research communities to meet and share scientific experiences and results. The proceedings of the AAECC-6 are included in this volume. The main topics are: Applied Algebra, Theory and Application of Error-Correcting Codes, Cryptography, Complexity, Algebra Based Methods and Applications in Symbolic Computing and Computer Algebra, and Algebraic Methods and Applications for Advanced Information Processing. Twelve invited papers on subjects of common interest for the two conferences are divided between this volume and the succeeding Lecture Notes volume devoted to ISSACC'88. The proceedings of the 5th conference are published as Vol. 356 of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science. 410 0$aLecture Notes in Computer Science,$x0302-9743 ;$v357 606 $aAlgebra 606 $aApplied mathematics 606 $aEngineering mathematics 606 $aCoding theory 606 $aInformation theory 606 $aComputer science?Mathematics 606 $aAlgebra$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M11000 606 $aApplications of Mathematics$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M13003 606 $aCoding and Information Theory$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I15041 606 $aSymbolic and Algebraic Manipulation$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I17052 615 0$aAlgebra. 615 0$aApplied mathematics. 615 0$aEngineering mathematics. 615 0$aCoding theory. 615 0$aInformation theory. 615 0$aComputer science?Mathematics. 615 14$aAlgebra. 615 24$aApplications of Mathematics. 615 24$aCoding and Information Theory. 615 24$aSymbolic and Algebraic Manipulation. 676 $a512 702 $aMora$b Teo$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996465942803316 996 $aApplied Algebra, Algebraic Algorithms and Error-Correcting Codes$9772419 997 $aUNISA
