Building on the success of the previous six successive ISNN symposiums, ISNN has become a well-established series of popular and high-quality conferences on neural computation and its applications. ISNN aims at providing a platform for scientists, researchers, engineers, as well as students to gather together to present and discuss the latest progresses in neural networks, and applications in diverse areas. Nowadays, the field of neural networks has been fostered far beyond the traditional artificial neural networks. This year, ISNN 2010 received 591 submissions from more than 40 countries and regions. Based on rigorous reviews, 170 papers were selected for publication in the proceedings. The papers collected in the proceedings cover a broad spectrum of fields, ranging from neurophysiological experiments, neural modeling to extensions and applications of neural networks. We have organized the papers into two volumes based on their topics. The first volume, entitled ?Advances in Neural Networks- ISNN 2010, Part 1,? covers the following topics: neurophysiological foundation, theory and models, learning and inference, neurodynamics. The second volume en- tled ?Advance in Neural Networks ISNN 2010, Part 2? covers the following five topics: SVM and kernel methods, vision and image, data mining and text analysis, BCI and brain imaging, and applications. 410 0$aTheoretical Computer Science and General Issues,$x2512-2029 ;$v6063 606 $aComputer science 606 $aComputer programming 606 $aData structures (Computer science) 606 $aInformation theory 606 $aComputer vision 606 $aPattern recognition systems 606 $aArtificial intelligence 606 $aTheory of Computation 606 $aProgramming Techniques 606 $aData Structures and Information Theory 606 $aComputer Vision 606 $aAutomated Pattern Recognition 606 $aArtificial Intelligence 615 0$aComputer science. 615 0$aComputer programming. 615 0$aData structures (Computer science). 615 0$aInformation theory. 615 0$aComputer vision. 615 0$aPattern recognition systems. 615 0$aArtificial intelligence. 615 14$aTheory of Computation. 615 24$aProgramming Techniques. 615 24$aData Structures and Information Theory. 615 24$aComputer Vision. 615 24$aAutomated Pattern Recognition. 615 24$aArtificial Intelligence. 676 $a004.0151 702 $aKwok$b James$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aLu$b Bao-Liang$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aZhang$b Liqing$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aLu$b Bao-Liang$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996465916803316 996 $aAdvances in Neural Networks -- ISNN 2010$92593515 997 $aUNISA
