Today, the main appli cations of audio DSP are high quality audio coding and the digital generation and manipulation of music signals. They share common research topics including percep tual measurement techniques and analysis/synthesis methods. Smaller but nonetheless very important topics are hearing aids using signal processing technology and hardware architectures for digital signal processing of audio. In all these areas the last decade has seen a significant amount of application oriented research. The topics covered here coincide with the topics covered in the biannual work shop on ?Applications of Signal Processing to Audio and Acoustics?. This event is sponsored by the IEEE Signal Processing Society (Technical Committee on Audio and Electroacoustics) and takes place at Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, New York. A short overview of each chapter will illustrate the wide variety of technical material presented in the chapters of this book. John Beerends: Perceptual Measurement Techniques. The advent of perceptual measurement techniques is a byproduct of the advent of digital coding for both speech and high quality audio signals. Traditional measurement schemes are bad estimates for the subjective quality after digital coding/decoding. Listening tests are subject to sta tistical uncertainties and the basic question of repeatability in a different environment. 410 0$aKluwer international series in engineering and computer science ;$vSECS 437. 606 $aSound$xRecording and reproducing 606 $aSignal processing$xDigital techniques 606 $aSpeech processing systems 606 $aMultimedia systems 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aSound$xRecording and reproducing. 615 0$aSignal processing$xDigital techniques. 615 0$aSpeech processing systems. 615 0$aMultimedia systems. 676 $a621.389/3 701 $aKahrs$b Mark$061882 701 $aBrandenburg$b Karlheinz$f1954-$061883 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910454564503321 996 $aApplications of digital signal processing to audio and acoustics$91896105 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02568nam 22006013u 450 001 9910453670303321 005 20210108142053.0 010 $a0-19-156849-X 035 $a(CKB)2550000001203610 035 $a(EBL)430717 035 $a(SSID)ssj0001146871 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)12513715 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001146871 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)11130989 035 $a(PQKB)11045629 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC430717 035 $a(EXLCZ)992550000001203610 100 $a20151123d2007|||| u|| | 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aLysiae Orationes cum Fragmentis$b[electronic resource] 205 $a2nd ed. 210 $cOxford University Press, UK$d2007 215 $a1 online resource (614 p.) 225 1 $aOxford Classical Texts 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 $a0-19-814072-X 327 $aLYSIAE ORATIONES: CUM FRAGMENTIS; PREFACE; APPENDIX: SOURCES, SIGNS, AND SCHOLARSHIP; Fragmenta Lysiaca; Appendix: Apocrypha : fragmenta papyracea Lysiae a studiosis tributa; INDEX NOMINUM ET LOCORUM 330 $aOne of the canonical Athenian orators, Lysias was much admired in antiquity.
