This year, IbPRIA was hosted by the Institute for Systems and Robotics and the Geo-systems Center of the Instituto Superior Tecn ´ ico and it was held in Estoril, Por- gal. It provided the opportunity to bring together researchers from all over the world to discuss some of the most recent advances in pattern recognition and all areas of video, image and signal processing. There was a very positive response to the Call for Papers for IbPRIA 2005. We - ceived 292 full papers from 38 countries and 170 were accepted for presentation at the conference. The high quality of the scienti?c program of IbPRIA 2005 was due ?rst to the authors who submitted excellent contributions and second to the dedicated colla- ration of the international Program Committee and the other researchers who reviewed the papers. Each paper was reviewed by two reviewers, in a blind process. We would like to thank all the authors for submitting their contributions and for sharing their - search activities. We are particularly indebted to the Program Committee members and to all the reviewers for their precious evaluations, which permitted us to set up this publication. 410 0$aImage Processing, Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, and Graphics ;$v3523 606 $aPattern recognition 606 $aOptical data processing 606 $aArtificial intelligence 606 $aNatural language processing (Computer science) 606 $aComputer graphics 606 $aPattern Recognition$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I2203X 606 $aImage Processing and Computer Vision$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I22021 606 $aArtificial Intelligence$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I21000 606 $aNatural Language Processing (NLP)$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I21040 606 $aComputer Graphics$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I22013 615 0$aPattern recognition. 615 0$aOptical data processing. 615 0$aArtificial intelligence. 615 0$aNatural language processing (Computer science). 615 0$aComputer graphics. 615 14$aPattern Recognition. 615 24$aImage Processing and Computer Vision. 615 24$aArtificial Intelligence. 615 24$aNatural Language Processing (NLP). 615 24$aComputer Graphics. 676 $a006.4 702 $aMarques$b Jorge S$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aPérez de la Blanca$b Nicolás$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aPina$b Pedro$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996465813903316 996 $aPattern Recognition and Image Analysis$9771863 997 $aUNISA
