The inaugural ISPEC 2005 was held exactly one year earlier in Singapore. As applications of information security technologies become pervasive, issues pertaining to their deployment and operations are becoming increasingly imp- tant. ISPEC is an annual conference that brings together researchers and pr- titioners to provide a con?uence of new information security technologies, their applications and their integration with IT systems in various vertical sectors. ISPEC 2006 received 307 submissions. This is probably the highest number of paper submissions in any information security-related technical conferences. Due to this exceptionally large number of submissions and the high quality of the submitted papers, not all the papers that contained innovative ideas could be accepted. Each paper was sent to at least three Program Committee m- bers for comments. Based on the reviewers? comments and discussion by the Program Committee, of the 307 submissions, 35 were selected for inclusion in these proceedings as research track papers and another 21 papers were selected as industrial track papers and are published in the Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University (Science). 410 0$aSecurity and Cryptology ;$v3903 606 $aData encryption (Computer science) 606 $aComputer communication systems 606 $aOperating systems (Computers) 606 $aComputers and civilization 606 $aManagement information systems 606 $aComputer science 606 $aInformation retrieval 606 $aCryptology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I28020 606 $aComputer Communication Networks$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I13022 606 $aOperating Systems$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I14045 606 $aComputers and Society$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I24040 606 $aManagement of Computing and Information Systems$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I24067 606 $aInformation Storage and Retrieval$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I18032 615 0$aData encryption (Computer science). 615 0$aComputer communication systems. 615 0$aOperating systems (Computers). 615 0$aComputers and civilization. 615 0$aManagement information systems. 615 0$aComputer science. 615 0$aInformation retrieval. 615 14$aCryptology. 615 24$aComputer Communication Networks. 615 24$aOperating Systems. 615 24$aComputers and Society. 615 24$aManagement of Computing and Information Systems. 615 24$aInformation Storage and Retrieval. 676 $a005.8 702 $aChen$b Kefei$f1959-$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aDeng$b Robert$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aLai$b Xuejia$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aZhou$b Jianying$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996465794203316 996 $aInformation Security Practice and Experience$9772300 997 $aUNISA
