In this 2003 study, John Bowen explores this struggle, through archival and ethnographic research in villages and courtrooms of the Aceh Province, Sumatra, and through interviews with national religious and legal figures. He analyses the social frameworks for disputes about land, inheritance, marriage, divorce, Islamic History and, more broadly, about the relationships between the state and Islam, and between Muslims and non-Muslims. The book speaks to debates carried out in all societies about how people can live together with their deep differences in values and ways of life. It will be welcomed by scholars and students across the social sciences, particularly those interested in anthropology, cultural sociology and political theory. 517 3 $aIslam, Law, & Equality in Indonesia 606 $aLegal polycentricity$zIndonesia 606 $aIslamic law$zIndonesia 606 $aAdat law$zIndonesia$zNanggroe Aceh Darussalam 606 $aDomestic relations$zIndonesia$zNanggroe Aceh Darussalam$vCase studies 615 0$aLegal polycentricity 615 0$aIslamic law 615 0$aAdat law 615 0$aDomestic relations 676 $a340.5/9/09598 700 $aBowen$b John Richard$f1951-$0896870 801 0$bUkCbUP 801 1$bUkCbUP 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910450043303321 996 $aIslam, law, and equality in Indonesia$92479748 997 $aUNINA LEADER 05906nam 22008415 450 001 996465648303316 005 20200705235442.0 010 $a3-540-36559-1 024 7 $a10.1007/3-540-36559-1 035 $a(CKB)1000000000211926 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000321054 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11246884 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000321054 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10259805 035 $a(PQKB)10281497 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-540-36559-4 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC3071612 035 $a(PPN)155213881 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000211926 100 $a20121227d2003 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurnn#008mamaa 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aAgent Technologies, Infrastructures, Tools, and Applications for E-Services$b[electronic resource] $eNODe 2002 Agent-Related Workshop, Erfurt, Germany, October 7-10, 2002, Revised Papers /$fedited by Ryszard Kowalczyk, Jörg Müller, Huaglory Tianfield, Rainer Unland 205 $a1st ed. 2003. 210 1$aBerlin, Heidelberg :$cSpringer Berlin Heidelberg :$cImprint: Springer,$d2003. 215 $a1 online resource (XIII, 347 p.) 225 1 $aLecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence ;$v2592 300 $aBibliographic Level Mode of Issuance: Monograph 311 $a3-540-00742-3 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 327 $aKeynotes -- Software Agents: The Future of Web Services -- Building Automated Negotiators -- Emergence in Cyberspace: Towards the Evolutionary Self-Organizing Enterprise -- Regular Papers -- Requirements Analysis in Tropos: A Self-Referencing Example -- A Mechanism for Dynamic Role Playing -- Agent UML Class Diagrams Revisited -- The Behavior-Oriented Design of Modular Agent Intelligence -- Engineering JADE Agents with the Gaia Methodology -- Designing Peer-to-Peer Applications: An Agent-Oriented Approach -- Introducing Pattern Reuse in the Design of Multi-agent Systems -- Specifying Reuse Concerns in Agent System Design Using a Role Algebra -- Comparison of Some Negotiation Algorithms Using a Tournament-Based Approach -- State-Based Modeling Method for Multiagent Conversation Protocols and Decision Activities -- A Framework for Inter-society Communication in Agents -- Action Recognition and Prediction for Driver Assistance Systems Using Dynamic Belief Networks -- Collaborative Agent System Using Fuzzy Logic for Optimisation -- A Self-Organizational Management Network Based on Adaptive Resonance Theory -- Mobile Software Agents for Location-Based Systems -- Partner Detection and Selection in Emergent Holonic Enterprises -- A Multi-agent System for E-insurance Brokering -- An XML Multi-agent System for E-learning and Skill Management -- Integrating Mobile and Intelligent Agents in Advanced E-commerce: A Survey -- An Agent-Oriented Approach to Industrial Automation Systems -- Multi-agent Model to Control Production System: A Reactive and Emergent Approach by Cooperation and Competition between Agents -- Integrating Agents in Software Applications -- A Foundational Analysis of Software Robustness Using Redundant Agent Collaboration. 330 $a This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-proceedings of the three agent-related workshops held during the NetObjectDays international conference, NODe 2002, held in Erfurt, Germany, in October 2002. The 23 revised full papers presented with a keynote paper and 2 abstracts were carefully selected during 2 rounds of reviewing and improvement. The papers are organized in topical sections on agent-oriented requirements engineering and specification, agent-oriented software engineering, reuse, negotiation and communication, large complex systems, e-business, and applications. 410 0$aLecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence ;$v2592 606 $aEngineering 606 $aArtificial intelligence 606 $aComputer communication systems 606 $aSoftware engineering 606 $aApplication software 606 $aComputers and civilization 606 $aEngineering, general$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/T00004 606 $aArtificial Intelligence$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I21000 606 $aComputer Communication Networks$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I13022 606 $aSoftware Engineering$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I14029 606 $aInformation Systems Applications (incl.
