The concept of a life system is quite broad. It covers both micro and macro c- ponents ranging from cells, tissues and organs across to organisms and ecologic niches. These interact and evolve to produce an overall complex system whose beh- ior is difficult to comprehend and predict. The arrival of the 21st century has been marked by a resurgence of research interest both in arriving at a systems-level und- standing of biology and in applying such knowledge in complex real-world appli- tions. Consequently, computational methods and intelligence in systems, biology, as well as bio-inspired computational intelligence, have emerged as key drivers for new computational methods. For this reason papers dealing with theory, techniques and real-world applications relating to these two themes were especially solicited. Building on the success of a previous workshop in 2004, the 2007 International Conference on Life System Modeling and Simulation (LSMS 2007) was held in Shanghai, China, September 14?17, 2007. The conference was jointly organized by The Shanghai University, Queen's University Belfast together with The Life System Modeling and Simulation Special Interest Committee of the Chinese Association for System Simulation. 410 0$aLecture notes in computer science.$pLecture notes in bioinformatics ;$v4689. 517 3 $aLSMS 2007 606 $aBioinformatics$vCongresses 606 $aBiological systems$xSimulation methods$vCongresses 606 $aComputational intelligence$vCongresses 606 $aBiological models$vCongresses 606 $aComputational biology$vCongresses 615 0$aBioinformatics 615 0$aBiological systems$xSimulation methods 615 0$aComputational intelligence 615 0$aBiological models 615 0$aComputational biology 676 $a570.285 702 $aLi$b Kang$c(Computer scientist), 712 12$aInternational Conference on Life System Modeling and Simulation 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bUtOrBLW 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996465604603316 996 $aLife System Modeling and Simulation$9772223 997 $aUNISA LEADER 03228nam 22007574a 450 001 9910967247003321 005 20081013040131.0 010 $a9786613035493 010 $a9781283035491 010 $a1283035499 010 $a9780822390282 010 $a0822390280 024 7 $a10.1515/9780822390282 035 $a(CKB)1000000000757455 035 $a(EBL)1170463 035 $a(OCoLC)262328121 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000391639 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)12130396 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000391639 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10346472 035 $a(PQKB)10479540 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC1170463 035 $a(OCoLC)1139383464 035 $a(MdBmJHUP)muse78818 035 $a262328121 035 $a(DE-B1597)554188 035 $a(DE-B1597)9780822390282 035 $a(OCoLC)1224278053 035 $a(Perlego)1466632 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000757455 100 $a20081013d2008 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aBlack behind the ears $eDominican racial identity from museums to beauty shops /$fGinetta E.B.
