He completed the work in March 1546 as fresh negotiations between Catholic and Protestant theologians reached an impasse in Regensburg, as the second session of the Council of Trent was meeting, and as Charles V prepared to make war on the Protestant League of Schmalkalden. At one level the work deals with the church's authority to regulate the celebration of the Lord's Supper, but at a more fundamental level it challenges moderate Catholics such as the humanist scholar Bartholomaeus Latomus to decide whether their ultimate loyalties lie with pope and council or with Christ and his Gospel. 410 0$aStudies in medieval and Reformation traditions ;$vVolume 184. 606 $aLord's Supper$vEarly works to 1800 606 $aLord's Supper$xHistory of doctrines$y16th century 606 $aChurch history$y16th century$vSources 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aLord's Supper 615 0$aLord's Supper$xHistory of doctrines 615 0$aChurch history 676 $a264/.36 700 $aBucer$b Martin$f1491-1551,$0206141 702 $aThompson$b Nicholas 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910458625603321 996 $aMartin Bucer, De vera et falsa caenae dominicae administratione (1546)$92444246 997 $aUNINA LEADER 06603nam 22008295 450 001 996465567503316 005 20200702235541.0 010 $a3-642-03730-5 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-642-03730-6 035 $a(CKB)1000000000772861 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000317114 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11923518 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000317114 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10286447 035 $a(PQKB)10801827 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-642-03730-6 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC3064470 035 $a(PPN)139955062 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000772861 100 $a20100301d2009 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurnn#008mamaa 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aData Warehousing and Knowledge Discovery$b[electronic resource] $e11th International Conference, DaWaK 2009 Linz, Austria, August 31-September 2, 2009 Proceedings /$fedited by Mukesh K.
