WABI 2009 was the ninth annual conference in this series, which focuses on novel algorithms that address important problems ing enomics, molecular biology, and evolution. The conference emphasizes research that describes computationally efficient algorithms and data structures that have been implemented and tested in simulations and on real data. WABI is sponsored by the European Association for Theoretical Computer Science (EATCS) and the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB). WABI 2009 was supported by the Penn Genome Frontiers Institute and the Penn Center for Bioinformatics at the University of Pennsylvania. For the 2009 conference, 90 full papers were submitted for review by the Program Committee, and from this strong field of submissions, 34 papers were chosen for presentation at the conference and publication in the proceedings. The final program covered a wide range of topics including gene interaction n- works, molecular phylogeny, RNA and protein structure, and genome evolution. 410 0$aLecture Notes in Bioinformatics ;$v5724 606 $aBiochemistry 606 $aComputer programming 606 $aAlgorithms 606 $aBioinformatics 606 $aComputers 606 $aData mining 606 $aBiochemistry, general$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/L14005 606 $aProgramming Techniques$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I14010 606 $aAlgorithm Analysis and Problem Complexity$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I16021 606 $aComputational Biology/Bioinformatics$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I23050 606 $aComputation by Abstract Devices$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I16013 606 $aData Mining and Knowledge Discovery$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I18030 615 0$aBiochemistry. 615 0$aComputer programming. 615 0$aAlgorithms. 615 0$aBioinformatics. 615 0$aComputers. 615 0$aData mining. 615 14$aBiochemistry, general. 615 24$aProgramming Techniques. 615 24$aAlgorithm Analysis and Problem Complexity. 615 24$aComputational Biology/Bioinformatics. 615 24$aComputation by Abstract Devices. 615 24$aData Mining and Knowledge Discovery. 676 $a572.80285 702 $aSalzberg$b Steven L$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aWarnow$b Tandy$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 712 12$aWABI (Workshop) 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996465312703316 996 $aAlgorithms in Bioinformatics$9772095 997 $aUNISA
